Ronan Flanigan, a man who valued Gifts over all, thought that by relating with those with Gifts similar to your own, they became stronger. He hated the Giftless with burning passion and finished the work of segregating them. Flanigan wanted Gifts to be pure, untouched by relations, and that way she created the Universal Gift Classification. He named his land Splendor and placed it in what was left of America.
Splendor is still the land of Purity, but it is to an extreme that humanity hoped to never see before. People cannot contact Giftless or people with Gifts of another Classification without risking Execution. If you have a child born without a Gift, you will for sure be eliminated. The land is sectioned, and filled with prejudice, and the people judge their sister Nations for their impurity, declaring war on Aprav and Actuaria.
Splendor is currently ruled by the Holester line. The current reigning King is Damien Holester
Important Things To Know:
-Splendor's line is dictated by birth and gender. Only males can inherit the throne of Splendor.
-The majority of age in Splendor is 19. At that age you can inherit things, drink, marry, etc. You are considered an adult in the eyes of the Law.
-Splendor has six Social Classes, all dictated by the type of Gift:
*Royalty/Nobility: This class is dictated by blood and Elemental Gifts. It's conformed by the Royal Family and the members of Court, such as Council Members and visiting Nobility from other countries.
*Physical Class: This one requires a Physical Gift, and it is conformed mainly by the Royal Guard. It also includes all of the Medical Staff, because of the healing gifts.
*Mental Class: This class requires you to have a Mental Gift. It includes all of the intelectual jobs in the land.
*Spiritual Class: It requires a Spiritual Gift. It's formed of monks and priests.
*Time/Space Class: This one requires you to have a time/space gift. It's made out of Seers and time-travelers.
*Giftless: The poor class. no jobs, no respect, some are even killed by the people.
Plot So Far:
-Maria, Princess of Crysea, is on a visit to Splendor, so she can get used to the place, Court and people, and so they can get used to her. She also has to get used to her future husband, young King Damien. The Princess is accompanied by her Lady in Waiting, Alana Porter.
-There's a bit of a struggle with getting Princess Faith a husband, since she rejects every suitor who comes her way.
-Prince Cody is a prick.
